After I decided to give up astronomy research and considered to switch to R&D project management, I was planning to retrain through a project management master, or at least follow some expert courses.
Then, a serendipitous twist happened! A unique opportunity came up in the same Physics Department where I had been working for 2 years as an astronomer!
I learned that the project manager position for the Condensed Matter Physics group had just given up and that job position was left vacant. So I applied to it, and succeeded. Since the 2025 summer solstice, I am the R&D project manager of that research group, and I have great expectations for the valuable experience I will gain in project management!
